christmas eve and christmas entry

yest got to work half day...if onli can have the whole day off...hee...anywae, went to work but no mood to work...colleage and i juz hang around and wait for time to go off...haha...

after work went home b4 goin to a fren's place to prep fruit salad to bring to a gathering...spent abt $15 in total for the ingredients...quite interesting...first to venture into making fruit salad...hee...

after preparing, went to the gathering...wah, lots of nice food...hee...ate really alot...after the gathering, went to another gathering...oso lots of gd food...as usual, whack the fd again...haha...wat a feast...haha...

went home onli around 1am...had a great time of singing, fellowship and photo taking...

2dae organised a christmas breakfast...hee...had dim sum buffet at dragon gate restaurant wif some of the YAF...eat lots again....man, tis week really goin to become fatso...haha...it was a nice breakfast...

after breakfast went gaigai with the group...walked the whole of vivo...haha...then rested at ben & jerry's for ice-cream...hee...

after tt the group seperated then dolphin and i went to meet her cousin for dinner...after din went to kopi roti to drink coffee...bot a cake to replace a log cake...coz the log cake on sale all so big, cant finish...hee...after coffee, walked dolphin home...wat a day...if onli everyday can b like yest and 2dae...hee...

2dae needed to go church early for rehearsal of the kid's presentation...man, a child suddenly fainted...really scary...i was stunt for a moment...all the children oso stunt...but well, they were late for rehearsal liao...so juz carried on with the rehearsal...in the morning really nice to c the diff bsc groups giving presentation...really c how God brought Shalom thru the years...hehe...christmas after christmas...hee...

after church brot dolphin to get her new hp...quite a nice and cool hp...5.0 mega pixel...really looks like a camera man...

evening went dinner with some other frens...nice fellowship and chatting...

yeah, 2ml half day work...can leave at 1pm...goin to prepare food for christmas eve dinner at pastor's place...

days tt you can njoy and relax really fly away very fast...hee...so fast goin to end one rest day...

YAF was interesting...learnt about counselling...lots of golden nuggets to pick up an digest...after YAF went over to have prata fellowship...hee...

after tt went to WM to gai gai awhile then went home to celebrate 'dong zi'...where the family come 2gether to have dinner...and tang yuan muz b in the menu...hee...dun really noe the significance of 'dong zi'...but well, it was nice to get 2gether for a meal...hee...had, duck, chicken, top shell, ladyfingers with coli-flower, tomyum fish, prawn in wine and lotus soup...yum yum...hee...the finale was a bottle of apple sparkling juice...i had the honour to pop open the bottle...and guess wat, the cork flew right into the storeroom via the ventilation hole...haha...wat precision...haha...it was a goal...........haa......

after tt sent dolphin home...the journey seemed so fast...mayb coz the trip was nice...hee...cherishing...

went for YF camp 2dae...had a nice time there with the youths...reminded of those days when i was a youth...haha...its nice...my group won 1st price for the whole camp...so got rewarded with $50...and im so blessed to b part of it...onli 4 of us in the grp...so we went to sakae sushi to njoy ourselves...haha...total bill came up to $56...so we only paid $2 per person...haha...paid $2 and i ate a tempura ramen, fried tofu...hee...

wah, 2dae is the rush-est day of my life in tis company...rush like mad dog to finnish 7 batch of testing...lunch only had a slice of papaya and pineapple...my colleage buy for me...actually i onli ask for papaya...then he sae sure nt enuf...so he bot one more pineapple for me...haha...really packed from 830am - 630pm...so rush tt some acid fumes contacted with my hand...haha...felt the biting sensation...haha...

after work went out with dolphin and her fren...had korean meal...hee...the food i ordered was nt bad...but all deep fried, so i tink throat abit sore nw...

on the way home, nose started to run...oh no, getting sick lo...

2dae work was ok...juz tt smtg happened during work...a very expensive thermometer probe was damage...due to equipment faulty...oh man, means nid to go another department to borrow equipment...felt bad coz i use it to do testing and the equipment spoil on me...hai...means nxt time if wan borrow anyt will b difficult liao...anywae, my chemist asking the supplier to come to clarify, y the system so lousy...haha...

2ml will b a even more hectic day...got a total of 5 set f samples to run the digestion...think will b non-stop fr 830-6pm...hopefully can fin by 6pm...

man, 2dae my colleage kip shooting job for me...calibrate lah, digest lah, help in the testing done half way lah...so much so tt i hav to multi task...hectic man...but thk God the day ended...think many more challenges to come...step by step, all the way...

after working went to work out to destress...haha...

one thing i dun like abt my current working place is tt my department lacks equipment to do testing...the got to go around to borrow here and ther...got to c pple's face...hai...if only my department got own equipment...argh...

how true??? pple have twisted christianity so much...to please man more than pleasing God...asking wat can a person benefit from being a christian and not asking wat God wants from a christian...God doesnt owe us anything...we deserve nothing but the way to hell...wat right have we to sae we deserve something better when we owe God so much more...

overall, i felt young again...hehe...having the energy to stay awake on a bike...can rem the past wher we had such activities...where there wasnt anything to tink abt other than fun, joy and laughter..hehe...

this time round, it was abit different...im older nw, and i had to bear some responsibilities during the fun, joy and laughter...had to manage a grp of abt 18 pple...making sure they return in one piece...many happenings during the journey to changi village...hehe...but i really thk God for all that He had provided, guided and taught me during the activity...learnt lots from the pple and of coz cherished the time spent as a group...it wouldnt be fun without anyone of us there...

came home abt 11+am...bathe, eat lunch and drop dead on bed...haha...

one thing im most glad abt the trip was to have a picture taken...it might b the last time i hav that kind of opportunity...but i hope there will b many more if God allows...

went to marina to eat and shop for dolphin's bag and footwear...dolphin goin to start her course lo...so finding a bagpack to put her course stuff...after marina, went to suntec...saw this view from a ceiling...looks like a light at the end of a tunnel...the real view nicer...hehe...


wanted to go carefour to see if there are more bags there...but we passed by NZ natural ice-cream...so in the end we spent the time there...haha...trying to use up the supposingly free ice-cream coupon...haha...had natural ice-cream and smoothy...

afterwhich went to meet HQ, AM and chickedee for dinner...HX really look so grown up liao...went to TB market to makan...as usual, the grp after dinner needs to go somewher else to chill...haha...so went dawson to chill...saw a soft toy machine...so tried to get it for chickedee...WAALA, one try and the soft toy was caught...haha...chickedee loves to hug it...hehe...


on the way to the chilling place, saw this booth displaying free buddhist CDs...lots and lots of cds for free...wat a wae to advertise buddhism...mayb we shld set up a booth and put free tracts and cds...hehe...


came home early 2dae...coz dawson near my place, so HL sent me home...

went for interview 2dae...LATE ah...hehe...suppose to mit at 1030am...i arrive at 1050am...haha...so they slot me to the last...hehe...interview was ok...had a time of laughter in the room...the doctors were friendly and chatty...hehe...so nw juz got to wait for their reply within 2 weeks...juz relying on God to lead the way...

after interview went back to work...haha...worked for 4hrs onli...at least earned abit oso gd lah...hehe...2dae learnt abt EDTA (ethylene-diamine tetra-acetic acid)...goin to start on determination of major elements nxt week...that is wher the difficulty level shoots up...be it lab skills, chemistry knowledge or stress control, all will be coming my way next week...but im ready to take up the challenge...bring it on man...

after work, went to dolphin's place for dinner and bible study...topic was on suffering...and nt missing the food fellowship...they had popiah making session...haha...the aunties make for us on the spot...haha...so funny...like ordering from the coffeeshop...haha...

2dae did repeat testings again for sulphate determination...guess wat, the filter paper i used broke...hai...tts y nid to repeat so many times...then i had to use AgNO3 to test for Cl content, then it accidentally splashed onto my hand...got black stains on my hands nw...hehe...can see? hehe...

another day to mit dolphin...hehe...though nt in an approppriate setting, still managed to have din with her...hehe...

another day of practical hands-on...did a repeat for determination of sulphate and insoluble residue...coz the results after testing not within the standard deviation...they call it out of repeatability percentage...so did a repeat...did half way onli, so 2ml continue...hehe...

2dae lunch uncle EL brot me out of compnany to eat...he blanjah me muslim food...wanted to blanjah him coz hari raya...haha...but he dun allow, so blanjah him fruits and drinks instead...haha...very nice of him to bring me around to the nearby places selling different food...

after work rushed to BB to have my dinner at subway...ate a foot long 'cold cut trio'...its the setmeal for the day...not bad...gave my double choc cookie to sm pple, they left it at the other table, nv eat...hai...

practical day

did a series of test 2dae on a cement sample...test for sulphate, chloride, insoluble residue and loss of ignition...took me the whole day to do these 4 tests...quite interesting and great opportunity for learning...really learn much much more with the hands on...haha...chloride test the results wierd wierd, so 2ml try it again...hehe...

b4 i finish work, rcv a call to be the guitarist for a wake...super last min...hehe...but well, since i can, so juz help out lor...really perm guitarist for events like this man...hehe...at least im acountable of my talents...haha...last week's sunday sch lesson...

as i look at the full-house of the various parlours at sin ming drive, life is really like a vapour...so fragile...

sunday school 2dae covered tt believers will one day stand b4 the judgement seat of Christ to give an account of their life on earth...it will be a day of rewarding...service covered on 'repentance'...the most important lesson is tt one has to change the internal and nt juz the external to really repent...wats the use when we behave on sunday and misbehave from mon to sat...dun be like the beetle that go up the wall and fall on its back over and over again...change the tinking and the action will follow...

choir so irritating 2dae...juz ONE song lah...tt ding dong song...hehe...and tt song juz ONE note...reaching tt ONE note is easy, but so difficult to hit tt ONE natural note when singing...argh...well, hope as the days go by will be able to hit it...hehe...

early morning 9am go out liao...so have bf at mrt ther...then met sm of the YAF to take train to TM 2gether...as usual, still have late comers...hehe...

so many pple waiting for the boat goin to ubin...so splitted to take diff boats...reach ubin, went to have the first briefing...so ER shared his trip to shanghai...can c tt he has a burden for the pple in shanghai...

proceeded for lunch...when we were seated down, there was a plastic bag of water hanging in the middle of the table...we were curious so asked the uncle there...he said is to kip houseflies away...so amazing...haha...new discovery...

after lunch all went to rent bike...then started the checkpoint hunting...seperated into 3 diff grps...my grp completed the whole hunt...so proud of them...hehe...the guys and i chiong in the rain even...tts wat i call an adventurous bunch of guys...hehe...one of my grp member really worries me...hehe...but well, all return in one piece...hehe...overall, i tink my grp njoyed the ubin trip...hehe...or at least i njoyed it..hehe...

after cycling, went to grab a bite...all soaked and sandy...haha...but all of us same state, so nt too bad...haha...

after biting, poroceeded back to mainland...got the chance to spend to wif anthea...hehe...she so interested to swim in the sea...haha...such a child...

sm of us went home to wash up then mit up at SG's place to chill...played sm funny, exciting and interesting game...its the pple tt made it fun...haha...

wah, wat a tiring day...my H.O.D ask my colleage to teach me more test methods on testing cement so i can help out with some of the testings...wah, then my colleage showered me with loads and loads of test methods...took almost half a day to read them...and still not done...copied notes so this coming mon can experiment...hehe...goin to be smtime b4 i can master the skill of handling laboratory aparatus...not easy ah...

2dae dolphin's frens bdae, so she went to celebrate wif a group of them...guess this whole week onli can c her on sunday, coz 2ml she got some dinner function so not goin to pulau ubin......oh, yest saw her on the bus...while i was waiting for my bus after the night class...hehe...cow missing dolphin...but i guess onli thru absence of a love one that both will cherish each one more...

Guess wat, HSA called me for another interview...previously they interviewed me for a post as a Lab officer in a toxicology lab...nw call me to go for interview for a post as a Lab officer in a narcotics lab...hehe...another open door...God is so good...

had the class with pastor this evening...talked abt tongue speaking...hehe...pastor gave an illustration...he said smtg like, tongue speaking is like someone holding a gun who fires off with a loud BANG, and all eyes will turned to it, then the person share the gospel...haha...funny illustration...

This is the 'Colophony' (rock) i was toking abt yest...hehe...Its a kind of shiny stone...according to my chemist, this is the material similar to that thing you use to polish the violin bow's strings...hehe...duno how true...haha...

Today did ntg but miscelleneous stuff...hehe...like calculating some test results, washing apparatus, preparation of syringes and some laising with sm company to get business...hehe...got one client, the ______ slang was so strong i got to kip asking him to repeat wat he saying...haha...

this reminded me of the other day, another incident...called a client from another country...i needed his particulars, so ask him to tell me...the moment he spoke, i was like HUH???...haha...even he tell me the different alphabet in country name, i oso cant get it...can u imagine how bad it was...haha...so every letter he sae from a - z each time he gives me a letter to complete just his name...haha...his name has abt 30 letters....oh man....wat an experience...haha...

juz came back from running...goin to bom bom...so stinky...hehe...

met dolphin, HL and KX for a hike from bukit timah hill to macritchie...had a gd time of exercise...especially for dolphin...hehe...

after the hike, went to beauty world for lunch...since HL always treat us, its our turn 2dae...hehe...so we treated them to lunch...ate porridge with many many many dishes...haha...

then after that went to HL and KX's house as they wan to wash up b4 goin anywhere else...when they fin bathing, we all headed to KC...haha...experienced how trading of re-sale flat is like...hehe...it was a really happening event...haha...

then we all headed to my place to allow me to take a shower...haha...i was given 10mins to go up and bathe and come down...haha...i took 11mins...fast ah...hehe...

went to ikea to chill after tt...had meatballs , coffee and tea...hehe...HL treated us again...hehe...while exiting from the cafe, saw this section of mice...hehe...so took a pic of it...haha...it represents dolphin and cow...haha...tink real life cuter...hehe...after that, we asked HQ's family to join us for dinner at a thai restaurant opp queensway...dolphin was like the ambassador of the restaurant lah...haha...intro so many of her frens there to eat...hehe...

after dinner, we all went to Frasersuite at rivervalley road to chill and hav light dessert...hehe...wah, tried the different icecream there...hehe...rum & rasin, brandied fig and d24 durian with waffle...i like the rum wan...hehe...the d24 durian icecream was nice...after dessert we brot HX to cold storage gai gai...hehe...she saw the trolley, then look around see who got money to bring her for a spin...haha...she ran to me...haha...so i gave her the coin to insert into the trolley...brot her for a spin...

Manage to capture a pic of a crucible that juz came out of the furnace at 750 degree celsius...hehe...the original colour of the crucible is white...its so hot that it turned reddish-orange...hehe...nice colour actually...

Hockey with frens was fun yest, though we didnt play with rollerblades...as ther was not enuf blades...so we played on foot...it was fun anywae...first time so many joined in...usually only the 3 of us (the usual hockey kaki)...yest a total of 6 were there...

This is an equipment that determines the colour standard of oil to see if the oil is degrading or degraded...quite an interesting equipment to 'play' with...hehe...juz make sure the user is not colour blind can liao...haha...

Today had the opportunity to see dolphin...hehe...true happinest...haha...went to BB BSC...all of us knows abt suffering and how we shld react to it etc...but there is a question tt didnt cross my mind till 2dae...that is, 'how we know our friends or love ones are suffering...hehe...like caring abt other's sufferings rather than our own sufferings...food for tot...i guess the main reason for God to gif us suffering is to know Him personally...

This is one of the oven found in the furnace room...the room is really warm...this is a picture of an oven i've operated at 750 degree celsius...anyone tt stands in front of it for 5 seconds will sure perspire...haha...this furnace can go up to 1000+ degree celsius...really powerful...hehe...i believe 'hell' is so much hotter than this...worse thing is, its goin to be hot eternally...wah, tink of it really scary...

learnt a new test method 2dae...learnt the determination of sediments in fuel oil samples by extraction with toluene...this testing really requires lots of waiting time...in a way, its relaxing lah...hehe...laboratory testing really needs patience...hehe...2ml goin to repeat this testing to c if the results are accurate...

dolphin got FBI, so dinner with family at home 2dae...3 dishes, soup and rice...and fruits after tt...healthy diet...hehe...

received a call and a msg from a couple of frens...i really hope i could help them...but i strongly believe that the problem they're having onli can be solve by themselves personally...however, if they need me to come in, i will try my best to help...praying for them...

shiok...woke up at 12+pm 2dae...haha...good rest...then went to mit some of the young adults for lunch...then went for YAF...topic discussed was abt abortion industry...watched a video on it...seen really disturbing pics...the YAF's atmosphere was still abit tense...mayb every1 not really comfortable with each other yet...hopefully one day can be less tense...EC came 2dae...glad to see him again...but he went off early, so did not hav the chance to tok to him...

after YAF, went opp to hav prata fellowship...haha...NTL is an interesting guy to noe...haha...an individual who uses a pocket knife to eat prata...haha...wat an eye-opener...he is oso half dutch, half chinese...all of us were amazed with his family history and background...haha...

then went 2gether with CR, GR and DR to marina sq to meet dolphin for dinner...had yuki yaki buffet then went to bugis for ice-cream...coz DR wanted to see the pics he took for the shop...haha...had a good time of fellowship and of coz being with dolphin...hehe...this week met her onli like twice or so...tink when she start her course will meet her less often liao...so muz cherish the time 2gether...hee...

memories worth keeping

645am need to leave home for work...got to reach company at 730am as we'll be leaving for changi jetty to catch the 9 - 930am boat to pulau ubin...we reach at abt 845am, so had breakfast...had 2 pieces of prata and tea...my chemist paid for us all again...hehe...so generous of him...
then went to take the boat to ubin...$2 per trip...so to and fro cost $4...not as expensive as goin to pulau tekong...hehe...anywae, can claim from company...hehe...i work in this company like some tourist...haha...commended by my colleages...haha...coz go different sites will take pictures with them etc...and they admire this attitude...they sae it makes the job more interesting...some of them said they regretted not taking more pictures when they were younger...which i totally understand...i shld have taken more photos when i was a teen...hehe...lots of memories...

when we arrive at ubin, walked abt 5mins to the location where we collect the diesel fuel sample...the tank was above ground...about 3 stories high...had to climb the ladder at the side to go up...the worse thing is there is no safety harness or watsoever...haha...but it was thrilling and exciting...Thk God for the safety...it was really a good experience coolecting sample from such a height...

After collecting sample, the chemist wanted to tour pulau ubin, so he rented a van to take us for a ride...all of us went to ubin b4, so onli he is asking the driver questions...haha....went back to mainland abt 12+pm...had lunch at changi village hawker centre...i ate the popular nasi lemak and a cup of sugarcane...

as it was still early, my chemist suggested we go up his place (toh guan, near IMM) to have a drink...haha...a person who really noes how to njoy...haha...after which we head back to company...i drove them back to company...hehe...he commended tt my driving was ok...hehe...

after work, went home then went to ECP with SQ and HT for dinner...its been a long time since the 3 of us had a meal 2gether...went to the zen restaurant...one and onli outlet in singapore...quite a nice place to dine in...we tried almost all the meat they had...beef, chicken, fish, crab and prawn...haha...after that went to stroll abit then take bus 196 home...chatted quite abit on the bus too...had a good laugh, suan-ing and fellowship...hehe...life is short, learn to njoy every moment...hehe...

memories of my recruit days

went to pulau tekong this morning to collect diesel fuel sample...last time ferry to tekong was FOC coz army personnel...this time hav to pay ferry fee of $7.20 for 2 way ticket...not cheap man...so many fond memories of that place...had to walk to the tank abt 2km away from the jetty...happen to walk pass my company line...hehe...can remember the fun, crazy, tough, fearful experiences...hehe...was telling stories of my stay there to my chemist...hehe...he was very interested as it was the first time he stepped into tekong...

anywae, b4 goin to tekong to collect the sample, i predicted tt the oil sample collected will be very dirty, dark coloured with alot of sediments in it...but when i drew the sample from the tank...

waalaah.......so clean...so clear and bright in colour...its the cleanest sample i collected so far...tot this island will be more or less abandoned...haha...but im really impressed with the maintenance of the oil here...if i compare this sample picture with the previous sample picture i inserted in my earlier blog, the difference can be clearly seen man...well done to personnel maintaining the tank...

after work went for class at C.O...2dae touch on the topic 'the Lord's Supper'...this topic had less queries from the pple...haha...but still hav lah...but less compared to the earlier topic on baptism...hehe...sm of the things discussed were 'transubstantiation' (where the bread and wine changed to the literal body and blood of Christ), 'consubstantiation' (where the body and blood of Christ, and the bread and wine coexist in union with each other), 'foot-washing as a third ordinance', 'some of the objections of close communion' and many others...interesting lesson i shld sae...pastor didnt manage to complete the study, so nxt class will continue...as usual...hehe...
